We have three fun swaps happening at Stitchfest this year in addition to the Secret Stitchers Swap.
The following swaps do not require sign ups – just bring the items needed to participate when you come to Stitchfest.
- Small Fabric Bucket Swap: Using this tutorial, please make and bring a fabric bucket to swap. We’ll oooh and aaahhh over everybody’s creativity and then put all the baskets together. Each person that made a bucket will receive a ticket and then will be randomly chosen to select a new bucket to keep. These little buckets are a great size for holding notions, fabric, or snacks. Be creative and feel free to add your own touch to the bucket. The only rule is to use modern fabrics that appeal to a large group of people. We want to have a great selection of buckets to choose from that everyone will be happy about swapping and receiving!
- Fat Quarter Game: Saturday afternoon we’ll be playing a fun Fat Quarter Game. To participate, please bring 4 fat quarters of really great modern fabric. Please bring fabric that will appeal to the whole group. (This is not a time to get rid of fabric you don’t like!) We’ll be breaking into teams for this fun game and the winners will go home with a pile of fat quarters!
- Quilt Block Raffle: If you would like to participate in this raffle, you just might win enough blocks to make a quilt! To participate, please make a 12.5″ x 12.5″ unfinished block using this Gold Rush quilt block tutorial. We will be using pink, aqua and white for our blocks. Please choose one color (either aqua or pink) and white to make your block. You are more than welcome to make more than one block! You will receive one raffle ticket for each finished block that you bring.
Sets of blocks will be giveaway away by a random drawing at the retreat.
